Dear St. John Family,
March is always a special month for me because it’s my birthday month. Although I don’t like to think I’m another year older, I am thankful for all the experiences that have been a part of my life.
Donna and I were in Albuquerque last week when I co-officiated at my granddaughter Emily’s wedding. It seems like yesterday she was a tiny baby and now is married, have grown to love her husband Aaron, and I’m hoping they will visit with us sometime in the future.
As you can see by the schedule this month is the heart of the Lenten Season. Each week we have the Wednesday suppers and worship service, and the services are led by a local UCC pastor. The services will be 30 to 40 minutes in length, and are centered on the theme of “The sign of Jonah”. I hope you will plan to attend some of the services.
I am excited to announce that Rev. Martin Childs, Jr. and his Praise Team from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church will be here with us in worship on the 21st. We always look forward to the inspirational music and message from Rev. Childs and his singers.
I am looking forward to all these opportunities for worship and spiritual growth, and I hope you will take advantage of these and other spiritual disciples during the Lenten season.
