Pastor's message for this month

Reverend Michael J. Matheny was born in Oklahoma and later moved with his family to Missouri. He completed high school and college in Missouri.

Following graduation from Central Bible college, he came to Milwaukee and served as a youth minister for ten years and then attended Northern Baptist Seminary in Chicago.

After graduation from seminary, he was called to be the senior pastor of the First Congregation Church in Emporia, Kansas, where he served for eight years.

His next pastorate was at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he served for ten years.

Pastor Matheny has also served as an interim pastor of four UCC congregations in the Milwaukee area.

During his years in Wisconsin, Reverend Matheny has also served as an on-call chaplain at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Pastor Matheny and his wife, Donna, have two children and five grandchildren. He and Donna live in Glendale, Wisconsin.
