Sunday School Announcements

The CBE met on Wednesday, June 25. We welcome more members to join us in planning the Christian Education of our children.

Sunday School
Board members sifted through the curriculum we found from prior years. We threw out the very old and organized the more current sections. Seasons of the Spirit is published in a three-year cycle. We hope to re-use some of the curriculum and not have to purchase any for a few years. Anyone who has any curriculum from the past is asked to bring it to church and leave it on the 2-drawer file cabinet in Fellowship Hall. We will then go through it and determine if we want to keep it or not. During the last meeting we set a tentative schedule for the coming year. As soon as things are finalized we will publish the schedule. We also are in the process of recruiting teachers for the next school year. If you are interested in teaching any section, please contact Connie Ellingson (262-790-2664 or bcellingson@sbcglobal.net). You do not need to commit to any dates or grades at this time.

The board developed a Sunday school registration form for the coming year. You will be receiving yours in the mail. We are asking you to please “register” your children so that we can better plan for the number of students we will have and the supplies we will need for each level.

Rally Day is Sunday, Sept. 7. Plan to join us to kick off the start of our next Sunday school year. Students in grade 4 will receive their Bibles. Other plans are being finalized for the day.

Sports Life Camp
Our plans for this summer’s Sports Life Camp are near completion. Our coordinators, Andrea Thomas and Shannon Flood, have everything just about ready. Mark your calendars for Aug. 4-7, and tell your friends and neighbors! The cost is $10/day or $30 for the 4-day program. Contact the church as soon as possible to reserve your place!

The next CBE meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, at 7 PM in the conference room. We will be finalizing plans for Rally Day and the Sunday school calendar. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact Pamela Hansen Ruben (262-253-7287 or phrubenucc@wi.rr.com). Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
