Council Highlights for November 2006

At its monthly meeting held on November 9th, the St. John Church Council:

  • Received the written resignation of Amy Green as Church Secretary effective December 1, 2006
  • Authorized use of the fellowship hall and kitchen by Audrey Kirchhoff for a Red Hat event on January 7, 2007
  • Approved the appointment of Kevin Elinski, Dick Wallander and Jeff Wendt to the Auditing Committee for the Annual Meeting on January 28, 2007
  • Approved a request from the Women’s Guild to recommend Pam Frey as an Elder of the Church, to be acted upon at the Annual Meeting in January
  • Approved the withdrawal of membership request from Mike Dempsey
  • Authorized the use of the fellowship hall by Amy Witzib for Girl Scout meetings on the first and fourth Sunday of every month
  • Received a letter from the Southeast Wisconsin Association explaining that Rev. Thomas Bentz has taken a leave of absence from his duties as Association Minister for an indeterminate period of time. Rev. Jim Burd will provide administrative and pastoral assistance on a part-time basis in the interim.
