Council Highlights for March 2011

Present: Karen Becker, Cherie Bersch, Eric Hillstrom, Judy Luckow, Pastor Matheny, Sharon Reeder, Jay Schaetzel, Donna Tess, Mary Ann Toth, and Dick Wallander

Absent: None

At its monthly meeting held on March 10th, the St. John Church Council:

  • Reversed the Council’s previous action and approved a recommendation from the Worship Committee to have two services on Easter Sunday 2011 at 7:00 am and 10:30 am.
  • Approved closing the We Care account and transferring the balance of funds to the Maintenance committee.
  • Discussed the status of the proposed Prayer Garden.
  • Discussed the status of Sports Life Camp in 2011.
  • Approved the use of the Fellowship Hall by Youth For Understanding on Sunday, April 17 from 1:30 until 5:00 pm.
