Council Highlights for July 2008

At its monthly meeting held on July 10th, the St. John Church Council:

  • Reviewed our current property and casualty insurance policy with Doug LeClair from Church Mutual
  • Called for a Congregational Meeting on August 3rd immediately after the worship service to act on a recommendation to spend up to $5,300 to hook up to the municipal water system
  • Amended the current language regarding non-member use of church facilities for weddings to include a $200 fee for ministerial services and $100 for organist services, if requested, in addition to the current $200 fee for use of the church sanctuary to be paid at the time of the application
  • Approved adding the duties of Heartbeat editor, on a temporary basis, to current duties of the church secretary
  • Acted on a request from Pam Szymanski and David Szymanski to be removed from the St. John membership list
