Council Highlights for February 2009

At its monthly meeting held on February 12th, the St. John Church Council:

  • Welcomed Eric Hillstrom as the new Council Deacon
  • Appointed church officers for 2009. They are:
  • Bob Lehmann, President
  • Dick Wallander, Vice-President
  • Mike Szymik, Treasurer
  • Cherie Bersch, Financial Secretary
  • Mary Johnson, Recording Secretary
  • Jay Schaetzel, Corresponding Secretary
  • Mary Ann Toth, Elder
  • Karen Becker, Trustee
  • Eric Hillstrom, Deacon
  • Finalized the membership count for reporting to the Wisconsin Conference
  • Committed to offering SportsLife Camp for the week of August 3-6
  • Appointed an ad-hoc committee to explore our continued relationship with Our Saviour’s consisting of Mary Johnson, Bill Kaiser, Bob Lehmann, Matt Lison, and Mike Szymik
  • Approved a request from Audrey Kirchoff to use the Fellowship Hall for a Red Hatter clutter auction and pot-luck event on March 28th, 2009 from 12:30 - 6:00 pm
  • Approved a request from Youth for Understanding to use the Fellowship Hall for a meeting on February 15, 2009 from 12:30 to 6:00 pm.
  • Approved use of the Fellowship Hall for an Outreach Committee/Adult Fellowship event on April 26th from 4:30-6:30 pm.
  • Acted on a request from Robert and Sandy Bernau to withdraw their membership
