Council Highlights for December 2006

Present: Karen Becker, Cherie Bersch, Bob Lehmann, Pastor Matheny, Betty Parker, Mike Szymik and Mary Ann Toth
Absent: Mary Johnson, Matt Lison, Eric Tess

At its monthly meeting held on November 9th, the St. John Church Council:

  • Officially approved the appointment of AJ Schroeder as our new church secretary
  • Authorized repairs for the church roof to be completed in Spring
  • Discussed a church-wide appeal of support for our Christian Education program
  • Approved the snow-plowing contract with Bacher Lawn & Landscape
  • Conducted preliminary planning for the Annual Meeting on January 28th
  • Authorized the Maintenance Committee to replace the church doors leading to the parking lot and the cemetery

Special thank-yous go out this month to the following:

  • Mary Ann Toth for assuming the Recording Secretary’s responsibilities in Mary Johnson’s absence
  • Cherie Bersch, Pam Frey and everyone who made our Christmas pageant so successful
  • All those individuals who helped with the tree decorating, chili dump, and Christmas caroling for the shut-ins
