Council Highlights for April 2010

At its monthly meeting held on April 8th, the St. John Church Council:

  • Approved a contract for $300 with Janet Puhlmann from Willow Glen Designs of Hartford, Wisconsin to provide landscape drawings for the proposed church prayer garden.
  • Acted on a recommendation from the Stewardship Committee to discontinue a formal general fund pledge campaign.
  • Authorized a request from the Maintenance Committee to spend $1,951 to have Buetow Lighting of Menomonee Falls replace our existing fluorescent lights with new energy efficient lights through the WE-Energies rebate program.
  • Authorized expenditures up to $2,000 for Full Service Heating to replace one of our three furnaces. Monies for this project come from an anonymous donor.
  • Approved a request from Youth For Understanding to hold two meetings in our fellowship hall; the first on April 24, 2010 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, and the second on May 22, 2010 2010 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
