Council Highlights for April 2007

Present: Cherie Bersch, Bob Lehmann, Matt Lison, Betty Parker, Mike Szymik, Mary Ann Toth and Dick Wallander

Absent: Kevin Elinski, Mary Johnson, Pastor Matheny

At its monthly meeting held on April 12th, the St. John Church Council:

  • Met with Julie Anderson from SportsLife Camps to discuss the logistics of offering a Christian –based weeklong summer camp activity this year
  • Set May 6th as the date for this year’s Annual Board of Elders’ Meeting
  • Accepted the resignation of Joelle Yaggie as the church cleaning person
  • Approved the appointment of Jenna Yaggie as the new church cleaning person
  • Set the date of Saturday, May 12th for the all-church clean-up
  • Approved a change in the summer hours for the church secretary from afternoons to mornings effective May 2nd
  • Authorized use of the church sanctuary for a piano recital sponsored by Mary Knudsen on Sunday, June 3rd from 1:30 – 3:00 pm
  • Authorized use of the church fellowship hall for a family reunion by Pamela Hansen Ruben on Saturday, June 16th from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Accepted the withdrawal from membership request from Andrew Burch
