Mission Statement: To help and give
guidance in the work of the entire church and to help
support St. John through Christian service and
giving
- Started in April 14, 1909 with 15 ladies. It was
known then as the "Ladies Aid".
- In 1917 the members started giving as many pennies as
their age into the Birthday Box.
- In December 1933 women in the church gained the
privilege to vote at Congregational Meetings held within
the churh.
- Membership in the 1930s was averaging between 30-36
women.
- In Auust 1937 the church changed the language from
German to English. This caused membership to drop.
- During this time our Evangelical church merged with
the Reformed and Women's Guild was created.
